I made a missing part of an antique table for Woodcock according to the original part. I used ash wood as I had had a suitable piece. The part is 51, 5 cm long and the biggest diameter is 3 cm. Such thin and long pieces need a steady rest to be used as they are prone to vibrate in the middle and there is a hazard.
I used sand paper 400 and surface looks ok. Maybe next time I will use beech wood as ash seemed to be too porous for small details.
Thank Woodcock for such an interesting job!
