I am making the upper parts of prototypes of ceiling lamps for a new collection of a design lamp producer. It is interesting work. They are made from oak wood. I am using a beech peg that is mounted in the chuck and the chunk of wood with predrilled holes is fixed on the peg sticking out and secured by the tail stock. I am using the roughing out gauge and the parting diamond gauge. The grit of sand paper starts from 60 to 220 and revs are 1 400.
